Don Giovanni by Mozart
This rendition of Don Giovanni is set in a modern day run down Italian town, it an abandoned palazzo left midway through renovation. It's a mix of 17th century neoclassical architecture, intruded by industrial forms into the space. It's gritty and dirty, with the stage floor being a sunken dirt pit. As the opera gets more supernatural, the set starts shifting and changing through the industrial language, with scenery getting hoisted out the space as Don Giovanni gets closer to hell.
